Establishing a formal meditation practice in 1997, Cynthia began to reap the benefits of intuitive listening. Her coaching work emerged in the context of five years of study with healer and spiritual guide David La Chapelle (author, The Sounds True CD “Destiny Lines” and the book, “Tides of Change”).
The use of music as a healing art has been part of Cynthia’s life since childhood. In the churches where her father was a minister, music went hand-in-hand with spiritual practice and transformation. Since 2005, she has led classes in meditation and yogic chant in the Princeton, New Jersey, region.
Her work with business owners and leaders is informed by a solid background in public relations for such entities as Princeton University, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and New York’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine. This experience along with working with smaller, New Jersey-based companies provide a rich backdrop for this work.
Cynthia’s formal education includes graduate literature studies at Columbia University, an MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence College, and a BA in Communications from Goshen College. Her publications include articles in New Jersey Monthly, Mothering, and appearances in such places as Glamour, Woman’s Day, and First For Women. She has given talks at Yale School of Divinity, Princeton University, Barnes and Nobles bookstores, the American Association of University Women (Lansdale, PA), and many other universities and forums.
Cynthia is currently writing a spiritual memoir, inspired by a vision quest taken on Mt. Rainier in 2005. |
